The global deficit rose by $1.0 billion from May 2011 until May 2012; however, the deficit in trading with Canada decreased, from $3.3 billion in April, to $2.2 billion in May 2012. In the current economic climate there will be some decent products at low prices so shop around and look for the best deals. But keep in mind that there usually is a correlation between price and quality and the cheapest equipment may be best avoided.
